Media Page – Appearance
The Appearance tab lets you customize how your video looks and behaves in the player, including its poster image, logotype and playback settings.
Go to Media, select a video and open the Appearance tab.
Preview
The Preview section shows how your video appears in the player, allowing you to review its appearance as you adjust the settings.
Poster Image
The poster image is displayed before video playback starts.
You can:
- Change – Select a different poster image.
- Crop – Adjust how the image is displayed.
- Video poster – Use a looping video sequence instead of a static poster image.
Video poster
A video poster plays a selected part of your video in a muted loop until the viewer presses Play to start the full video.
To configure a video poster:
- Enable Video poster under Poster Image.
- Click Edit to open the video poster editor.
- Move the red markers on the timeline or enter Start and Stop times manually.
- Click Close when finished.
If the viewer's browser does not support video posters, the regular static poster image is displayed instead.
Logotype
Add a logotype to the player, displayed in the upper-right corner during playback.
Choose between:
- None – Do not display a logotype.
- Account default – Use the logotype configured for your account.
- Custom – Upload a logotype specifically for this video.
You can also specify a Logotype link to make the logotype clickable.
Player Behavior
Customize how the player behaves for the selected video.
- Title overlay – Show or hide the video title before playback and when paused.
- Sharing – Enable sharing options in the player, including the option to provide an embed code.
- Recommendations – Show recommended videos after playback.
- Default subtitles – Configure whether subtitles are enabled by default.
- Mute – Start playback with the sound muted.
- Autoplay – Attempt to start playback automatically when the player loads, subject to browser restrictions.
- Repeat – Automatically restart the video when playback finishes.
Several settings inherit the account's default configuration. You can override these settings for an individual video or select Reset to Account Defaults to restore the account defaults.
